Sangria & Cocktails by the Marina

🍹 Sangria & Cocktails by the Marina

Just a short stroll from Sol Escape, the Caleta de Fuste Marina is one of our absolute favourite places to relax and unwind.

There’s something truly special about sitting by the water with a glass of sangria in hand, watching the sun melt into the horizon while the boats gently rock in the harbour breeze.

As evening falls, the marina comes to life with soft music, warm lights reflecting off the water, and the happy hum of people enjoying the island’s easy-going atmosphere. It’s the perfect way to end a sun-soaked day — slow, simple, and full of charm.

🌇 Our Favourite Spot on the Island

We’ve spent countless evenings down here — sometimes with friends, sometimes just the two of us — sharing tapas, laughing, and soaking in that unmistakable Fuerteventura magic.

Grab a jug of freshly made sangria or one of the many colourful cocktails, sit back, and just watch the world drift by.

It’s impossible not to fall in love with this place — the mix of ocean air, the sound of clinking glasses, and the twinkle of marina lights makes it feel like a little slice of paradise.

🍷 Our Recommended Bars

There are plenty of lovely spots to choose from, each with its own character and view:

  • Café del Mar Caleta – Stylish, modern, and perfect for sunset cocktails with gentle DJ music.
  • El Capitan – Great seafood, friendly staff, and the best sangria on the island.
  • Havanna Bar – Laid-back vibes, brilliant mojitos, and live acoustic music some evenings.
  • The Dog & Duck Terrace – A fun, friendly spot with harbour views and a welcoming feel.
  • La Taberna del Puerto – For a taste of authentic Spain — tapas, wine, and charm.

Whichever you choose, you’re guaranteed good drinks, friendly faces, and beautiful views across the water.

🌞 Our Little Ritual

We often take a slow walk along the promenade, stopping to watch the fish and feel the evening breeze, before heading to the marina for a cocktail and a few tapas.

As the sky turns pink and orange, it’s easy to see why this is one of our favourite places in all of Fuerteventura.

💡 Local Tips

  • The sunsets are best viewed from the right-hand side of the marina, near Café del Mar.
  • Try the Canarian mojito – it’s made with local rum and brown sugar.
  • Ask for tinto de verano if you prefer a lighter version of sangria — the locals love it.
  • Most places stay open until midnight, with a relaxed and friendly vibe.
  • Families are very welcome, and children often enjoy the music and open spaces.

🌴 A Place to Unwind

For us, this is where time slows down. No rush, no plans — just the sound of the sea, the laughter of people around you, and the feeling that everything in life is exactly as it should be.

🍸 This really is one of our favourite places — sangria, sea views, and that little touch of island magic.
